Precedents
In 1995, the Universidad Panamericana’s Library
was born with the support of different Institutions. In 1997,
the library acquired his technical formation, most of the material
was to support the Social Sciences, and the rest was shaping
the area of the general knowledge. In the same year it is created
"Universidad Panamericana’s Librarian System" (SIBUP).
Now the Librarian counts with an optimized Librarian System
in San Salvador, Ahuachapán, and San Vicente's Regional Center.
Policies
Collections: It is established to guide the
growth of the collections emphasized in the Library, with the
intention of support the capture of decisions to the acquisition,
selection, preservation and discard of the library collections.
Lending: the Library offers the service to every public; any
person can consult all the available materials. The service
known as "external lending” is only for the users registered
inside the university community and his terms depend on the
type of material and the users.
